Sure I use V-points all the time, I didn't use it in this character drawing as much as in some others, like this one, but I did want to track down the rooms horizon line. It's important to know where the horizon line is when drawing so I know what parts of the character are looked down at, straight ahead at, up at. So after I hunted down the horizon line I found that it was just over her head so I tried to draw her so you are looking slightly down at her. And seeing as the horizon line is about 7ft off the ground where my character is standing then everyone, except for characters on the stairs, the wall, or taller than 7 feet, should be drawn to be seen from above. How much above depends on the character, and how far away from the viewer.
And seeing as how I already figured out the horizon line and vanishing point I used them, as well as a quick sketch of the pseudo room dimensions, to determine the scale for Zorafin's character.
I'm also looking forward to seeing what others have come up with.
