First of all, given the way I know my next story will end and the fact that it takes place before yours, the scenes on Ur give me some good ideas for side stories :O
Wow...what an ending! I will say, I saw many of these events coming, but I don't think that's because they were predictable--you just wrote these scenes almost exactly how I would have written them, which is kinda cool. I figured Akasha would take the spotlight and she did so in a fantastic way, with so many close calls against Typhon but ultimately refusing to give up, using every bit of her strength and then some. The scene with the fragment of Kira was brilliant and I love how you used that aspect of Typhon against it. Very clever use of plot device and bringing back scenes from way back in the story.
Seeing Lee as vulnerable as he was throughout both of these chapters was...cathartic, in a way. This guy's had every little detail planned out, throws out one last "fuck you" with destroying Terra Nova, and now in all his desperation he's at the mercy of a kid, a Rappy, and a small CAST :P It felt good to see him so powerless, especially with Typhon bearing down on him. Even though he did end up wounding Alpha, he was so easily cornered by Zero Three without a real plan or set of elaborate traps for him to fall back on. It's about time that bastard got what he deserved...especially at the end.
Which brings me to Kolba, who turned out to be maybe my favorite character in this story, next to Rho. That final scene is going to stay in my mind for a long time...how he knew exactly what Lee was going to do, how waiting for him meant nothing given that he's had to wait for far worse, how he leaves his mask on, how he's so calm in finally executing the bastard that left him for dead...gotta say, that was pretty awesome. I wonder if we'll be seeing more of him in future side stories?
You told me a while back that Akasha was definitely going to be the main character even though the Aki sisters were still prominent main characters, and I like how you made that turn out. Akasha got her moment in the end, and Zero Two and Zero Three ended up playing important support roles. It was fitting given Season 3's climax which revolved around the sisters, and you still offered us resolution in the Epilogue, which I'll get to later. In two chapters where there were hardly any character deaths, Zero Three's death felt very moving and powerful, especially in that she saved Selena once again. If she had to go, I'm glad she got to go out on that kind of note.
I do kinda wish Selena and Delfoy got in more action, but I understand why they didn't. The mall scene with them was cool, I just wished they were able to participate in the city's defense...although, not much you can do against a giant hulking Darker in a sedan with your adoptive kid and an injured CAST!
Everything wrapped up very nicely and I'm so glad we finally got a happy ending, after all of your heart-wrenching XD I'm really glad guys like Colton, Alpha, Galatea, all of Delta Squad, Selena, Delfoy, and General Valias survived, and even though there's obviously a ton of damage to Ur, much of the crisis was averted. I can't wait to see where you go with the side stories, and this was a very, very enjoyable read all the way through...far surpassing the scope of your first story, and the quality was even better too. Don't forget to look back and appreciate what an epic tale you wrote :3 And I'm always up to discuss more specific things with you!
