Whats your favorite Videogame Series?

I used to enjoy a wide variety of different games before but once I discovered the greatness of STG's they've gradually been phased out.

Phantasy Star (Online, Universe, AotI)
Resident Evil - I need to play more of this. 4 was fucking amazing, 5 sucked imo, but I've yet to play the older ones.

It's an almost tie between Xenosaga and The Legend of Zelda. Though, I have to go with Xenosaga, the depth of the stories and how almost every character has his or her role. It's also very emotional in many respects, the only game I've ever cried because of.

I'd like to add the Megaman Zero series to my list. It was one of the hardest, but most rewarding game series I've ever played.

The story, the frustration of failure, the eventual victory over every boss, the dystopian and often dark plot, and the solid game design all made these games amazing in my eyes.

Forgot to add the nippon ichi series, think I have them all except the original disgaea, its hard to find nowadays. Alot of lvling, after the story there always plenty to do fighting other overlords from other games, its a blast!

Tales of... is probably my favourite series right now. They've got a great balance of story, multiplayer, great battle system and lots of replay value. My list would also include (off the top of my head)

The Legend of Zelda
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (Not such a big fan of the main series, really. But I love the CC subseries)
Phantasy Star (anything from Online, and newer)
Gauntlet
Pretty much anything made by Harmonix

I'm a sucker for co-op multiplayer, in a game with a real-time battle system, that's an RPG or dungeon crawler.

Final Fantasy - Love the cinimatics & Movies, but never played anything except Final Fantasy III (DS)

Well since everyone is choosing more then one lol, My second would have to be the Mega Man series (X included). Gunslinger pretty much summed up why it's so awesome.

I actually need to go back and find the first four Megaman X games. Never beat the first one. I'm assuming you've play the MM Zero games?
