| When did you start PSO: | Well, I’ve always been a huge Sonic nut, so when I heard Sonic Team was making an online game for the DC, I knew I had to jump on board even if it was crap. Luckily, it wasn’t. I was so pumped I bought the DC keyboard as quick as I could (which is now collecting dust with my Genesis arcade stick and DK Bongos.) I started playing online as soon as I could with the DC version, then continued with version 2 and eventually Ep. I & II for the GC (and even a bit of BB.) |
| Favorite Class: | Hands down RAmar, the thing is, I don’t really know why… I suppose when I started out on PSO I chose the character I thought looked the coolest, which in my opinion was the RAmar (sorry all you HUcast fans out there!) So that became my main character named Moo2u, and even though I tried different classes all the time, I continued to remake my Moo2u RAmar on every new version I played. |
| Favorite Gamestyle: | Anything online. I mean, that’s what the game was made for, right? That's what the O stand for, I think. The game just breathes life when you’re shooting and slashing your way through the Ruins with actual people then by yourself. I loved elements of the game where you really needed to cooperate with other people, like certain quests and challenge mode. |
| Favorite Enemy: | This is a tough one…I try not to play favourites with the things I kill, but I guess it’d have to be the Hildebear. The first time one of those jumped out at me I seriously freaked out. Actually, no I’ll switch my answer to Hildeblue: it has the awesomness of the Hildebear plus a sweet sweet rare treat! |
| Favorite Weapon: | I remember I had a sweet Anti-android rifle with I loved to use, simply cause it seemed like it was made for RAmars to use. Then I found out how much fun mechguns were to play with, so I stuck with a wicked pair of Red Mechguns I found. |
| Favorite Mag: | Probably Kama, again because I thought they looked cool…I mean come on! They look like two robotic alligators floating on your shoulders! What’s not cool about that? |
| Best PSO Memory: | Hmm…that’s a tough one, as tons come to mind. Probably, and strangely, my best PSO memory happened offline on the GC version. You have to understand, I’ve been into PSO for a couple years now, but being the only one on my block that owned a DC, not many of my buds played it with me. Now on the GC, with offline multiplayer, I got to introduce them to the world of PSO. Me and two of my friends spent literally the whole day playing PSO with fresh characters and didn’t stop till we beat the normal Ruins. Again, I keep thinking what makes this game works is when you get people together on it. |
| Funniest PSO Memory: | Long story short, I convinced some people online that I was Robin Williams. I hate to come clean now, but I am in fact not Robin Williams. |
| Why did you join PSOW: | Like many people, I came for the information, but stayed for the community. I can’t remember when I actually heard about PSOW, or even how I heard about it, but I remember getting tons of info that I just couldn’t get anywhere else. And when I had more questions, the forum was always willing to help out. Then I found out PSOW members hung out on a specific server, and since then I was hooked and kept coming back to the site. Special mention should go to all of the fanworks section. I loved coming back and seeing the new artwork or fanfics. |
| Best PSOW Memory: | Again, there’s a lot of good times, so it’ll be hard nailing it down. KodiaX987 mentioned in his member spotlight about a joint fanfic written by himself, Hikosaka, BWS-1, Blackhawk, and myself, and that was just incredible to be a part of. I also remember attending WarChild’s online “wedding”; that was definitely something I haven’t seen before. Then of course there is all that time I’ve wasted in Fresh Kills Landfill, and what a wonderful waste of time that was (and continues to be.) |
| Comments: | Like I’ve said, what works best about PSO is the interaction between people, and PSOW brings that to a whole new level. It’s amazing that even if I leave the community for a while, I always find it easy to jump back in. Even though I don’t really play PSO so much anymore (and my computer is too crummy to play PSU) I still hang around here, browsing fanworks and making ridiculous posts, mostly regarding to myself and how awesome I may be. So as long as there’s a PSOW, I’ll keep coming back here.
