Guides - Seat of The Heart, East Tower, Control Tower Objectives Walkthrough

Getting The Ragol Ring/Seat of the Heart

Consider the difficulty you will embark on completing the quest before you embark on it. Make sure you can handle a lot at your current level before proceeding. It is advised that you have done little to none of the offline quests.

  • Everything begins offline, starting in the Offline Quest Dr. Osto' s Research. At the point where Sue asks for your name, tell her. NOTE: This must be done the first time you've run through this quest.
  • Now you're on your way: attempt to complete Unsealed Door. Sue and Bernie are in here. Talk to Sue first, then talk to Bernie, telling him about Sue. Beat the quest.
You must talk to Bernie in every quest that is mentioned here, where applicable.

Lemme interrupt you here briefly. Since you told Bernie about Sue, Sue will now appear in Waterfall Tears and Black Paper. Feel free to interrogate her and learn an interesting story. If you are given the choice to say, "What is your purpose?", do choose it.

  • Complete Waterfall Tears. Bernie is once again in here. Talk to him.
  • Complete Black Paper. Again, talk to Bernie mid-way through.
  • Complete Knowing One's Heart. Talk to Bernie on your way.
  • Finally, complete Seek My Master. Bernie is KO'ed on the floor before you go into the flashlight-shaped room where the quest ends.

NOTE: You must talk to any NPC aforementioned until they disappear or repeat themselves.

Done? Good! Now let's begin the quest!

How do you know if you did everything above correctly?
Sue and Kireek will appear before the General in a cutscene after you've left for the VR stages.

During the quest, you are given choices to certain actions (talking, deciding, jumping off that large cliff in CCA, etc.). There's 8 occasions where you are given these opportunities.

You must get them right the first time:
1st Time: First Choice
2nd Time: First Choice.
3rd Time: Second Choice.
4th: First.
5th: First.
6th: Second (scolding Elly)
7th: Second (Jump Off!)
8th: First.

Sometime after the 7th choice, I assume Kireek will take over for Elly, which is great! Kireek is strong, and won't be killed as easily (in Very Hard, he's level 147; in Ultimate, he's 199). But even then, you're not done! You now have to complete the Control Tower.

The Control Tower requires you to activate the correct terminals. Activating the wrong terminal results in enemies appearing, and failing the attempt to acquire the Ragol Ring.

The following describes the correct terminals to activate. Please note that to make things easier, set your Map to the Fixed setting (so that the the player arrow on the map is rotating, not the map itself).

Floor 1: Middle terminal.
Floor 2: On the left side of the area (inner radius), the third (last) terminal. It should be near the exit.
Floor 3: On the right side of the area (outer radius), the second (last) terminal.
Floor 4: Tricky! As you go in, make a sharp right, into the darkened area. The terminal is hidden. Clever. =3
Floor 5: On the left side of the area (inner radius), the second terminal. It should be in the corner.

You should have little fighting to do. Epsilon will not appear.

After things are done, talk to Sue and Kireek. Then talk to Elly. Wait a bit, and then talk to her again. She should give you the Ragol Ring. Follow her to extend the quest a bit.

And now, a little FYI:
Waitaminute! Kireek helps you out?! I thought he was supposed to be all evil!
Indeed. In Battle Training, it might be unclear on what his intentions are. Supposedly, the most logical explanation would be that this situation is an alternate universe, to see how Kireek would be if he becomes your ally.

For more information and maps, look at the Seat of the Heart quest guide.

Adding Special Attacks to S-Ranks/West Tower
The West Tower is similar to a Mop-Up operation quest. Here, you are required to just eliminate every enemy before proceeding.

-To start towards your goal, speak to Hopkins (he's hiding where he's usually at in Gallon's Shop), and learn about the weapon development. You are given the mission to find the data he needs.

The quest begins in Central Control. Simply eliminate everything. You will enter the Tower from the lesser-seen lower area of Central Control.

East Tower: Eliminate All Opposition
Enemies are listed in order of progression.
Floor 1: Mericarol
Floor 2: Del Lily, 2 Recoboxes, Mericarol
Floor 3: 2 Recoboxes, Gibbles, 2 Recoboxes
Floor 4: Del Lily, Gi Gue, 2 Recoboxes, Gi Gue
Floor 5: Mericarol, Merikle (Ice Element-driven Mericarol), Del Lily, Gibbles, Gi Gue
Floor 6: 2 Mericarols, 2 Delbiters, Merikle
Floor 7: Gibbles, Gibbles, 2 Recoboxes, 2 Ill Gills
Floor 8*: Del Lily, Del Lily, Gi Gue, Gi Gue, Del Lily
Floor 9: Gi Gue, 2 Recoboxes, Gibbles, Del Lily, Gi Gue, 2 Ill Gills, Gi Gue, Delbiter, Mericus (Thunder element-driven Mericarol), Merikle
Floor 10: Epsilon

All enemies follow their normal attack patterns...you just gotta deal with a bunch. Epsilon can only be damaged when his hub cores are away from him. Do not touch the cores. The cores also have a color that pertain to a certain element. Here's a hint: Red means Fire, Purple means Megid...

*-Floor 8 Note: Remember Floor 4 from Seat of the Heart? Well, instead of a terminal being right behind you, there's a healing rig to restore you HP, TP, and Traps!

-After Epsilon is defeated, go to the terminal and grab the data. Return to Hopkins to submit the data. You can now get Special Attacks for your S-Ranks!

How Do I Get The Attacks?
Head to Gallon's Shop and grab your Photon Drops! These are the ranks of attacks you can acquire:

C Rank: For 30 Photon Drops
Yyou will get Tempest (thunder attack), Blizzard (ability to freeze enemies in place), Burning (fire attack), and gradual HP/TP regeneration.

B Rank: For 40 Photon Drops
You will get Berserk (sacrifice HP for extra damage), Spirit (sacrifice TP for extra damage), King's (steal EXP from enemies), Chaos (cause confusion among enemies), Gush (steal HP from enemies), and Geist (steal TP from enemies).

A Rank: For 50 Photon Drops
You will get Jellen (lower the enemy's attack power), Zalure (lower the enemy's defensive power), Hell (chance to kill an enemy in one hit), Demon's (slash the enemy's HP to 1/4th of their remaining HP), and Arrest (cause paralysis to the enemy; this paralysis lasts longer than Freeze).

Note: The Jellen and Zalure from an S-Rank weapon is higher than Level 30. You will NOT be able to override it with the Jellen and Zalure YOU cast.

For more information and maps, look at the West Tower quest guide.

Adding Photons to Weapons/East Tower
The hardest quest yet, the West Tower's goal is the same as the East Tower: eliminate all opposition. You start out differently in this quest.

-To accomplish the goal, you must have completed Seat of the Heart with the Ragol Ring be given to you, and acquiring the data in East Tower.
-The quest is much harder than East Tower. Be sure you can do East Tower with ease.

Let's Begin!
-Again, talk to Hopkins before going on your quest.
Upper Seabed:
Teams will be split up. If your map settings are set to fixed, you will have a better idea of the enemy strategy that follows:
If you begin from the left side:
There'll be a Recobox right next to you. The others cannot reach you. You will encounter the following after leaving the room:
-Dolmdarl, Delbiter, and Sinow Zele. The room that follows will also have a Sinow Zele.
Hit the barrier switch and continue.

If you begin from the right side:
Assist the players in the bottom to eliminate the Recobox. You'll encounter these enemies after the first encounter:
-Dolmolm, Dilbiter, Sinow Zoa. The room that follows will have a Sinow Zoa as well.

Enemies Seen In...
The Northwest Quadrant of the area: Sinow Zele, Delbiter, Gi Gue!?
The Southwest Quadrant of the area: Recobox, Sinow Zoa.
The Northeast Quadrant: Sinow Zele, Recobox.
The Southeast Quadrant: Delbiter.

You are required to find the right terminal to acquire the data. You can return to Hopkins without going to the Control Tower.

Control Tower:
Floor 1: Mericarol
Floor 2: 3 Gibbles
Floor 3: Del Lily, 5 Recoboxes, Del Lily, 2 Mericarols
Floor 4: Gibbles, Merikle, Mericus
Floor 5: (The room is dark!) 2 Del Lillies, 7 Recoboxes, 3 Gi Gues
Floor 6: 1 Ill Gill, 3 Delbiters
Floor 7: 1 Ill Gill, 4 Recoboxes, 2 Del Lillies, Gi Gue (you must hit two barrier switches on this floor)
Floor 8: (The room is dark!) 2 Ill Gills, 5 Delbiters; Again, this room is a re-hash of Floor 8 in East Tower, so the healing rig is availible.
Floor 9: 3 Del Lillies, 4 Recoboxes, Gibbles, 2 Gi Gues, 4 Ill Gills, Delbiter, 3 Mericarols
Floor 10: Epsilon (see East Tower strategy on how to defeat)

After giving a new paint job to your HUcast, and realizing your poor RAmarl needs some loving from you, you're done.

How do I add percents?!
This process takes place once again in Gallon's Shop. You can add these percent amounts to your weapons:
5% for 20 Photon Drops
30% for 1 Photon Sphere

The Photon Sphere requires more than 90 Photon Drops to be acquired. >_<

Once you get your necessary amounts, grab what you need and visit Hopkins' father again. There are limitations:

You Can...
...Add percents to an area that already has a percentage multiple times.
...Add percents to an area that has 0%.
...Add percents to total up to 100%
...Add percents to multiple attributes (3 Areas only! i.e. If you have percents for Native, Machine, and Dark, A. Beast can not have any percents)

You CANNOT...
...Add percents to S-Ranks.

Note that you must have the exact amount of percentages availible to upgrade your item. If, say, you tried to add 30% to an area that has 75% on it, it won't work. You need to have sufficient space.

For more information and maps, look at the East Tower quest guide.
