from the beginning.....

since puck 9 is in horrible shape for joining a game i decided that would a jp server cuz they are still team players.

well i found and game and joined it. there were 3 others there and was ready to join in the battle. when i got there, there was aconversation going onthat i couldnt understand.

what caught my attention was a lone bubble in plain english PK. i felt a little uneasy then but stayed because i needed teh exp.

i must have threw them off what country i was from due to some macros i have in japanese. we advanced to the mines where we started taking out gilchics, the whole time there was constant talking.

eventually they all paused and one i guess knew some english asked "are you from japan?"
when i told them "no" the coversation grew larger then the words PK popped up again.

the one that asked teh question immediately left and the remaining 2 started useing gladius's for most of the level.

i came to this conclusion. DAMMIT QUIT HARRASSING THE JAPANESE!!!!!!!
i didnt know pking was that bad in japan till i heard 2 people in the lobby comparing how many "japs" that they killed. i felt ill and left like it was the end of the world.

that is so wrong and i feel ashamed. those bastards.

A foreign perspective:

Sorry to rub it in, but unfortunately I've had 2 people try to PK me in the past week. Both of them were American. I've not been PK'd yet by a fellow European or Japanese player. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen in either Japan or Europe, but on the whole I am more wary of American players joining my teams. Also, I personally never go onto the American servers any more because cheating is so common.

A good example is last night when 3 of us were in ruins and a fourth player unknown to us joined the team. We asked where he was from and he said US. Immediately all 3 of us unequipped until we had talked to him some more and satisfied ourselves that he was legit.

In case anyone thinks I have some kind of axe to grind, I have a great affection for the US and visit frequently. I feel really sad for you guys that your servers are so badly affected by these scum. Yes, we have them on the European servers - but I feel a hell of a lot safer on Iapetus than I ever did on Puck.

I would think that someone who could PK would have a brain cell.... alas, I guess not. Every Japanese person i know personally, or play PSO with, are too kind. It's a different culture, a sweeter culture. Then you have the American breed, thumbs turned to chest with pride of being the bully. It's the American disease, what more could we expect?
I am capable of PKing, but PK a Japanese person? Great foreign relations guys!!! Excellent show of honor. Two thumbs up from me!!! (no sarcasm, never) What is the point of PKing a Japanese player? There's really no point to doing it to an American, except maybe the ones in question. Wow! Just wow.

I haven't got PSO yet, but I'm importing the US PSO. So with all the time I've got while waiting for it, I've been reading posts in this forum.
Good thing I have, because I'll be making sure now that I don't go to any US servers. And also I might make one of my preset messages: "Never fear! An Aussie is here!" http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/icon_smile.gif

It almost isn't worth discussing.. 99% of the near-threats against the US guys with their extreme sense of pride and power are falling upon deaf ears anyway.

I myself am of course american.. not very proud of it and not an ounce of patrioticsm in me. I love japanese culture, and I suppose that's why I'm learning the language. Unfortunately characters are a ways off.. spose romanji will have to do for now :P

american players suck i hate most of them i've played with the cheat, suck, dont talk, or are just a begger... i talk to japanese players with that horrible translator thing then i can with americans becuse most of them are just playing to get lvl 100
